Plantlife is a British conservation charity working nationally and internationally to save threatened wild flowers, plants and fungi.

The charity owns nearly 4,500 acres of nature reserves across England, Scotland and Wales and there is a team of dedicated conservation experts who work with landowners, farmers, businesses, conservation organisations, community groups and governments.

Ranscombe Farm Reserve is one such reserve and has long been known as one of the best places in Britain for rare wildflowers of arable farmland. This is due to its farming history, varied geology and location in the south-east of England. The reserve also includes large areas of ancient woodland and smaller areas of species-rich grassland, both of which also support rare and threatened flowers.

Andrew Lingham is the tenant farmer at Ranscombe Farm and works closely with the Plantlife to grow crops and rear livestock whilst preserving the landscape and the flora and fauna.
